Paul C. Bishop

Attorney at Law

Mr. Bishop majored in political science and business administration at Colby College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976. He then enrolled at New England Law | Boston, and, in 1979, he graduated with his Juris Doctor degree. After graduation, Mr. Bishop served as an assistant attorney general for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts until entering private practice in 1984. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Like many family law attorneys, Mr. Bishop assists clients whose marriages have come to an end and who are now facing the process of divorce. He is often able to help them negotiate a comprehensive settlement agreement that addresses the pertinent legal issues of alimony, parenting time, the division of marital assets and debts and child support, but if talks break down and litigation becomes inevitable, he advocates on behalf of his clients in the courtroom. Other family law matters that he has handled have included the preparation and review of prenuptial agreements.

In his personal injury and wrongful death practice, Mr. Bishop represents people who have incurred substantial losses due to the negligence of others. His cases have included motor vehicle crashes, premises liability and construction site accidents, and he has been able to obtain tens of millions of dollars in settlements for his clients
